Pairing Insta360 X4 with Bluetooth Headsets: Ride, Record, and Relive

Looking to record every moment of your motorcycle adventures without taking your hands off the handlebars?

Well... It's good news! With Insta360 X4 (and Ace Pro 2!) and Cardo and Sena headsets (and more!), you can pair your devices for seamless voice control and crisp audio recordings.

Our partnerships with leading headset brands offer native compatibility, making it easier than ever to stay safe while capturing high-quality footage. And with Cardo’s innovative Intercom Mode, you can record your entire group’s audio alongside your video—perfect for reliving the camaraderie of your rides! More on that later...

Why Pair Insta360 X4 with a Headset?

Pairing Insta360 X4 with a Cardo headset (or similar) unlocks a host of benefits for riders. With hands-free control, you can safely use voice commands like “Start Recording” or “Stop Recording” while keeping your hands firmly on the handlebars. Now that's safe, and smart!

The crystal-clear audio quality allows you to capture everything from conversations to road sounds directly through your headset, adding an immersive layer to your videos. Plus, the streamlined setup ensures quick and easy pairing, thanks to the native compatibility between Insta360 X4 and Cardo.

How to Pair Insta360 X4

Ready to gear up? Follow these steps to pair your devices:

Power on both your devices, making sure both are fully charged for a smooth setup. Activate Pairing Mode on the Headset, then head over to your camera. Connect via Bluetooth Headphones in your camera, selecting your headset from the list of available devices.

Then, test! Once connected, you should be able to use commands like “Take a Photo” or “Mark That” to ensure everything is working as it should.

Note: You'll need to ensure Voice Control has been activated. Swipe down from idle on the camera screen to activate that from the options!

Pairing a Cardo Headset for Group Rides

What if you're riding with a group of friends and you want to hear your friends in your video too? The innovations just don't stop! With Cardo, try using Intercom Mode to get that sweet audio from you and your friends as you're hitting the roads. How awesome is that?

So for a standard connection: Set your Cardo headset to Pairing Mode...
