Apple DockKit is a tracking technology developed by Apple. When paired with DockKit-compatible motorized stands, it enables iPhones with iOS 17 and later to seamlessly track subjects during shooting, keeping them in frame and centered.
3.What are the compatibility requirements for Apple DockKit?
To use DockKit-enabled tracking, an iPhone 12 or later with MagSafe and iOS 17 or later is required. No additional apps or authorization are required.
4.Is there any difference in tracking between iPhone's native camera and other iOS apps?
Tracking functionality depends on the third-party app you use. Please refer to the app developer's website for more information on tracking capabilities.
5.What's the difference in tracking via DockKit compared to the Insta360 app?
Currently, DockKit supports tracking of human subjects (not objects or animals) but it will be continuously optimized through Apple system updates. The Insta360 app uses Deep Track 3.0 for improved tracking accuracy. It allows users to select and track people, animals, and objects. Recording with the Insta360 app is recommended for dynamic environments, quick movements, or large movement ranges.
6.Is Flow Pro compatible with Android phones?
Flow Pro is compatible with Android phones, but Android phones do not support the native tracking features enabled by DockKit, like tracking within an iPhone's native camera app and third-party apps such as TikTok and Zoom. One-Tap Pairing via NFC is also not yet available for Android users. Android phones can utilize other new Flow Pro features, like 360° Infinite Pan Tracking and the Tracking Ring Light, as well as powerful features like Deep Track 3.0 in the Insta360 app. For specific compatibility information, please refer to the Flow Pro compatibility list.
