Insta360 has once again teamed up with the Kawasaki Racing Team, announcing a Sportive and Title Race Partnership for both the upcoming WorldSBK 2023 and 2024 seasons. A first look at the KRT livery for the season has just been unveiled, ahead of the first race later this month.
Insta360 will serve as the exclusive action camera for Kawasaki's championship fights. Insta360 cameras will follow the KRT team season-to-season, capturing stunning footage of some of the fastest bikes in action across the globe.
The Kawasaki team is one of the premier global Superbike squads, having won seven of the last ten World Championships.
Jonathan Rea, six-time WorldSBK champion, and Alex Lowes remain with KRT for the 2023 season. Both are eager to get back into the season, having recently completed January testing at Circuito de Jerez. The Kawasaki team will use Insta360's leading action cameras, including the 360 action cam X3 and interchangeable lens action cam ONE RS, to better capture superbike action and create engaging footage from some of the best race tracks globally.
"I've been using Insta360 cameras for over a year now, and the potential of these cameras is just extraordinary. I think for riders especially, 360 cameras really allow you the ability to analyze yourself and your positioning... I'm personally a big fan of my X3!"Jonathan Rea
Insta360 cameras will continue to provide a signature, up-close view of all the superbike action as the team travels from race to race. Real feedback from riders is fed back to the Insta360 team and actively used in better developing the cameras for those on two wheels.
“We're looking at another exciting year with the Kawasaki Racing Team as they chase another championship title for 2023, and we can't wait to see their riders up on the podium again,” said Max Richter, Vice President of Marketing at Insta360. “KRT is a perfect representation of the ‘Think bold’ spirit we champion at Insta360 and we're excited to take our partnership to the next level.”
